Με βάση τα τελευταία δεδομένα και τις επίσημες οδηγίες για την αντιμετώπιση της εξάπλωσης της επιδημίας του κορωνοϊού (COVID-19), το 1ο Κ.Ε.Σ.Υ. Α΄ Θεσσαλονίκης με συναίσθηση της ευθύνης και με γνώμονα πάντα τη διαφύλαξη της δημόσιας υγείας, αποφάσισε την υλοποίηση της προγραμματισμένης ενδοϋπηρεσιακής επιμόρφωσης με τη μορφή Διαδικτυακού Σεμιναρίου (Webinar), Διαδικτυακού Σεμιναρίου (Webinar) με θέμα: «Προβλήματα συμπεριφοράς μέσα στην τάξη. Αξιολόγηση και Παρέμβαση»
με επιμορφώτρια την καθηγήτρια Λουκία Τσάμη, επιστημονική ερευνήτρια στο Κέντρο Αυτισμού και Αναπτυξιακών Δυσλειτουργιών στο Πανεπιστήμιο University of Houston, Clear Lake και την συνεργάτη της Charity English, M.A., BCBA, LBA Specialist in Behavior Analysis, την Παρασκευή 13 Μαρτίου 2020, από 16:00 έως 19:00.
Βιογραφικά στοιχεία Εισηγητών:
Η Λουκία Τσάμη είναι Ελληνίδα που ζει και εργάζεται στις ΗΠΑ. Ολοκλήρωσε το πρόγραμμα της Εφαρμοσμένης Ανάλυσης Συμπεριφοράς του πανεπιστημίου Florida Institute of Technology και αποφοίτησε από το πανεπιστήμιο Northeastern University με μεταπτυχιακό στην Ψυχολογία. Εργάζεται ως επιστημονική ερευνήτρια στο Κέντρο Αυτισμού και Αναπτυξιακών Δυσλειτουργιών στο πανεπιστήμιο University of Houston, Clear Lake. H Λουκία Τσάμη είναι επίσης καθηγήτρια Ανάλυσης Συμπεριφοράς στο πανεπιστήμιο Texas HealthScience Center, καθώς και στην ιατρική σχολή Baylor College of Medicine. Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα και οι δημοσιεύσεις της περιλαμβάνουν θέματα αξιολόγησης και διαχείρισης προβληματικής συμπεριφοράς, καθώς και εκπαίδευσης γονέων με τη μέθοδο Τηλεϋγείας μέσω του διαδικτύου. Είναι ιδρυτής του Παγκοσμίου Προγράμματος Ανάλυσης Συμπεριφοράς Telehealth ABA World Project, το οποίο δίνει τη δυνατότητα σε γονείς, εκπαιδευτικούς και θεραπευτές να λαμβάνουν δωρεάν εκπαιδευτικές υπηρεσίες.
Loukia Tsami completed the Applied Behavior Analysis certification program at Florida Institute of Technology. She graduated from Northcentral University with a Master of Arts degree in Psychology. She currently works as a research associate at the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities at the University of Houston Clear Lake. Tsami is also faculty at Baylor College of Medicine and the LoneStar Leadership Education for Neurodevelopmental Disabilities program at the University of Texas, Health Science Center. Her research interests and publications include the topics of assessment and treatment of problem behavior as well as parent training. She is the founder of Telehealth ABA World Project through which parents and educators who work with children with autism and other disabilities in 30 countries receive behavior analysis training services.
Charity English is a board certified and licensed behavior analyst who has worked with children and young adults with disabilities between ages 2 and 22 since 2011. Charity earned a masters degree in Behavior Analysis in 2014 and has since worked in clinical, in-home, church, and education settings to support children and their caregivers or teachers in reaching their goals. While working in therapeutic clinics on campus at University of Houston-Clear Lake in Texas, Charity developed a compassion for children who struggle to learn in conventional ways. Charity is employed as one of two BCBAs for a school district of 42,000 students in Houston, Texas. In her role at the school district, Charity mentors graduate students who are working toward obtaining certification in behavior analysis, trains large groups of teachers and staff on the analysis and treatment of challenging behavior, works with parents to provide consistent strategies in their homes, as well as advocates for the least-restrictive programming for students. In her 5-year tenure at Clear Creek Independent School District in Houston, Charity has worked with students with autism, Down Syndrome, intellectual disabilities, selective mutism, Emotional Disturbance, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, psychosis, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as students who have experience traumatic events in their pasts. In collaboration with University of Houston-Clear Lake, Charity has presented to audiences in Nigeria and Namibia on strategies for increasing appropriate behaviors in the education setting.
